Moiz Ahmed has 15 years
experience in Software Engineering,
Executive Management and Project Management. He is the founder of MTC and
worked as Chairman MTC from October 05-May 07. Along with a Masters in software engineering
and Masters in Electrical Engineering from
UAB Moiz holds numerous professional certifications
including Project Management 2005. He is also
member Board of Advisors for ITT Technical College Birmingham. His work for
promoting "Best Practices" in Software Engineering, QA and PM was recognized
through his
interview published in
the Birmingham Business Journal June 2006 issue. Under his
leadership Magic City Technology Council grew to 250+ subscribed members and held
the first ever software
engineering conference in Birmingham, AL. The
conference was a big success and attended by 120 software
executives, managers and programmers. As
Chairman Magic City
Technology Council, Moiz managed all aspects of the organization
including the executive committee, board of advisors, strategic and
business, vision, financial, sales, legal and marketing aspects. In
his professional roles he managed the Development and QA departments for
Marketron International as Sr. Software Manager/Director Software
Engineering with over 500K yearly budget and wrote/implemented the 5
years technical/business/financial and product development strategy
for the company. Previously he worked as a Sr. Programmer and Sr.
Architect for Command Alkon, Inc. and wrote the existing
architecture for entire suite of applications. He also wrote the
cross platform multi-tired software architecture strategy for
Command Alkon that if implemented could save over $1M in
revenues from software development perspective.
Moiz has keen interest in bridging the gap between Technology and
Business from enterprise prospective in order to manage ROI and
maintain Quality, Schedule and Costs for IT projects. His framework
on Dynamic Business
Management Application Architecture (DBA2) focuses on
developing business management applications, realizing ROI with
