Dan Retzer is the Chief Technology Officer for XcitekSolutionsPlus,
LLC - a Financial Services software development company located in
Birmingham, AL. Dan is currently responsible for the Project
Management Office (PMO), Software Engineering and Architecture and
Configuration Management processes and is responsible for plotting
the technological vision of the XSP product. As CTO, Dan also has
oversight and visionary responsibility for the Quality Delivery
System (QDS). The QDS is a framework for combining best-of-breed
automated and manual tools and processes for software quality
validation and product delivery.
Dan is a speaker on the topics of Enterprise Architectures for
various events and organizations, including the Society for Design
and Process Sciences. He is the co-creator of the Service-Oriented
Enterprise Engineering Lifecycle (SOE2L) - a lifecycle for managing
enterprise-wide implementation of Service-Oriented Architectures
that is used to streamline the operations of global corporations and
government agencies alike. The SOE2L was premiered at the Ninth
World Conference on Integrated Design and Process Technology in July
of 2006.
Dan graduated from Auburn University in 1996 with a BA in Technical
Communication, and from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in
2006 with a MS in Electrical Engineering. Dan currently serves on
the Auburn University Alumni Advisory Board for the Department of
English. Dan has also held positions as Webmaster and Web Services
Manager at Colonial BancGroup in Montgomery, AL, where he was
responsible for overseeing a 3500-user corporate intranet. Dan also
served as technical manager for Colonial's Internet Banking product
until leaving Colonial in 2002.
